A Piper at the Farewell
From £195 · Same-week bookings accommodated wherever possible
When someone much loved is laid to rest, a piper playing The Flowers of the Forest at the graveside is one of the oldest and most quietly moving tributes in Scottish tradition. Kevin McLean has been honoured to carry out this duty for families across Central Scotland for more than twenty years.
What Kevin provides
- Piping the coffin into the church or crematorium
- Playing at the graveside at interment
- A single quiet piece at the close of the service
- The Flowers of the Forest, Amazing Grace, Highland Cathedral, Going Home — or any piece the family requests
- Coordination with the funeral director and celebrant so the piper is never unexpected
